Crystal Young-Haskins First Black Woman Promoted To Assistant Little Rock Police Chief

Little Rock Police Chief Keith Humphrey has promoted Maj. Crystal Young-Haskins to assistant chief, filling a vacancy left by Alice Fulk, who is now chief of the State Capitol Police force, a spokesman from the Police Department said Saturday evening.

Young-Haskins is the first Black woman to serve in the position, according to spokesman Mark Edwards. She is a 14-year veteran of the Police Department and the least senior of the other majors, formerly called captains, in the department, according to the department’s website.
