Rule Number 1 ….. you break OUT of jail – not INTO it.
According to a report from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana, give people were arrested for attempting to break into the parish correctional facility. And yes, you heard right … for trying to break into the jail.
The group was reportedly attempting to sneak in drugs, cell phones and other contraband between January 1st and 3rd. Deputies were able to seize the items before they reached inmates. The group can be seen on surveillance footage from the local Wal-Mart, where they purchased cutting tools and cell phones. Deputies checking the premises discovered something was amiss when a large hole was found in the fence surrounding the jail.
The mental giants charged in these crimes include:
- 40-year old Lucretia Simmons of French Settlement, Louisiana, who has been charged with 1 count Felony Principal to Unauthorized Entry of a Critical Infrastructure, 1 count Principal to Entering Contraband to Penal Institution, 1 count Principal to Distribution of Schedule 1 drugs, 1 count Principal to Distribution of Schedule II drugs, and a hold by Probation & Parole
- 17-year old Haley Howze of French Settlement, Louisiana, who has been charged with 1 count Felony Principal to Unauthorized Entry of a Critical Infrastructure, 1 count Principal to Entering Contraband to Penal Institution, 1 count Principal to Distribution of Schedule I, 1 count Principal to Distribution of Schedule II, & an outstanding warrant with the Denham Springs, Louisiana Police Department
- 20-year old Paul Clement, Jr. of Livingston, Louisiana, who has been charged with 1 count Felony Unauthorized Entry of a Critical Infrastructure, 1 count Entering Contraband to Penal Institution, 1 count Distribution of Schedule I CDS, & 1 count Distribution of Schedule II CDS
- 20-year old John Mitchell Ballard of Denham Springs, Louisiana, who has been charged with 1 count Felony Unauthorized Entry of a Critical Infrastructure, 1 count Entering Contraband to Penal Institution, 1 count Distribution of Schedule I CDS, 1 count Distribution of Schedule II CDS, 1 count Failure to Pay Child Support (Outstanding warrant), & a hold by Probation and Parole
- 22-year old Michael May, Jr. of Livingston, Louisiana, who has been charged with 1 count Felony Unauthorized Entry of a Critical Infrastructure, 1 count Entering Contraband to Penal Institution, 1 count Distribution of Schedule I CDS, & 1 count Distribution of Schedule II CDS
All are currently being held on a $1,000,000.00 bond. Livingston Parish authorities are conducting a continuing investigation and more arrests are possible.
