The jury has reached a verdict in the murder trial of Casey Anthony.
Just one day after they were sent out to decide the young mother’s fate, the seven-woman, five-man jury has reached a decision and will return to court to conclude the sensational murder trial.
Anthony, 25, is accused of drugging her two-year-old daughter Caylee, suffocating her and dumping her body in overgrown woodland.
The announcement comes as hundreds of people gathered at a makeshift memorial in the woods close to where the remains of Caylee were found.
Crowds showed up at the site about a quarter of a mile from the Anthony’s Orlando home where Caylee’s body was found at the intersection of Suburban Drive and Chicksaw Trail.
Many brought balloons, cards, candles and stuffed animals, forming a memorial site for the little girl.
Summer Garrett, who visited the site, said: ‘We have been watching this case from the beginning. I have a niece, it has touched our hearts.
