The Forrest City Police Department has arrested and charged a suspect after a woman was found stabbed to death inside her home. On the morning of July 3, 68-year-old Mary Hunt was discovered by her granddaughter inside her residence on Eula Avenue. Hunt was suffering from apparent stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
After reviewing surveillance footage, officers identified the suspect as Willie Brandon. Brandon is now in custody and has been charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
