BREAKING: Corey Cobb Bey has been identified as the suspect in last night’s triple officer shooting in Dallas, which left one officer dead and two others hospitalized, according to family members.
On his public Facebook page, Bey appears to have posted a video earlier this month showing him approaching an unmarked police vehicle with officers inside. In the video, he questions their presence in his area and inquires about any crimes being committed.
In another video, posted before last night’s shooting, Bey seems to track a drone in his neighborhood, referring to it as the “devil” and speculating that it was sent because “they know we are the chosen children of the house of Israel and they are trying to destroy everybody.”
Bey also shared footage of himself displaying a pistol and a semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine. His posts contain a significant amount of religious rhetoric and suggest a growing paranoia.
The incident culminated in Bey ambushing and fatally shooting a rookie officer. He then wounded two additional officers who responded to the scene before leading police on a chase to Lewisville, where he was ultimately shot and killed by Dallas police officers.
