Brass-A-Holics Unveil Tracklist Artwork For New Mixtape

Some may call it fusion; others may call it synthesis. The internationally renowned Brass-A-Holics, natives from the birthplace of jazz, call it a language being spoken between music colleagues. This language they are referring to manifests within their musical compositions on stage and recordings.

As a follow up to their debut album, “I Am A Brass-A-Holic”, Heat Magazine readers and faithful fans are soon to hear “Word On The Street-The Prequel”, an intriguing mixtape that serves as a precursor to their highly-anticipated upcoming album. Both the mixtape and album were recorded live in New Orleans. The Heat Magazine just received the tracklist artwork for the mixtape which is scheduled to be released as early as March 27, 2017. On March 30th, the Brass-A-Holics will be performing in Washington, DC at the Hamilton. Then, they will perform at the  Ardmore in Philadelphia on March 31.

As always, we wanted to share good vibes with our readers and Brass-A-Holics aficionados. “Word On The Street-The Prequel” will be available on most digital mixtape sites and reputable blogs.

The Heat Magazine: Why do a mixtape?

The Brass-A-Holics: We wanted our fans to have a tangible body of work that captures what we do best and that’s playing great music live on stage. Our audience loves the music we play that touches on various genres.

As a result, The Brass-A-Holics have created a phenomenal blend of well known songs but it is the manner in which they perform these melodic masterpieces that makes it unique.

“It’s not a whole lot a band can do with limited instrumentation when it comes to playing certain songs but our band has been able to produce a mixtape without restriction. We have guitarists, keyboardist, percussionist, and horns to assure our goals musically,” said Brass-A-Holics trombonist Winston Turner.
“The music is great. It sounds really good,” added Brass-A-Holics saxophonist Robin Clabby.

It’s a rare achievement for a live band to create a mixtape with so much rhythmic depth. “We can appeal to all audiences. The young and the old,” said Brass-A-Holics trumpeter Tannon Williams.
With such an eclectic fan base, The Heat Magazine is certain several music listeners will enjoy their body of work. We will be sure to feature “Word On The Street-The Prequel” mixtape audio once released.
