It seems that there’s no end to America’s obsession with twerking. According to Billboard, New Orleans bounce artist Big Freedia will attempt to booty pop his way into the Guinness book of world records with 250 other dancers.

The event is going down in Manhattan’s Herald Square on September 25, when the 250 dancers will twerk for two straight minutes.

Big Freedia has been taking shots at Miley Cyrus for her interest in the dance move, which has been around for quite some time before Miley.

“It’s become offensive to a lot of people who’ve been twerking and shaking their a**es for years, especially in black culture,” said Freedia. “When something gets hot, everybody want to jump on the bandwagon and act like they created it. That’s totally understandable, but they have to give credit where it’s due.”

Fuse will be covering the event, which will promote their new show “Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce.”
