As families wait for the inevitable, officials described the full force of onrushing Mississippi waters set to flood Memphis (above). The flooding, which is set to devastate the area in the coming days, could affect more than four million people living in 63 counties close to the Mississippi and Atchafalaya rivers from Illinois to the Gulf of Mexico.
