Union County, Miss. – Fugitive Adam Mayes reportedly has been found dead in north Mississippi, but the two young Tennessee sisters he allegedly kidnapped have been found alive.
Eight-year-old Kyliyah and 12-year-old Alexandria Bain are alive and safe,according to our Memphis affiliates, FOX 13 News.
FOX 13 says Mayes’ body was found near County Road 183 in the Alpine community, near Guntown, Miss. Sources close to FOX 13 say Mayes died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Mayes was placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List after he allegedly kidnapped Jo Ann Bain and her three daughters last month. Officers say Mayes killed Bain and her eldest daughter, Adrienne, in Hardeman County, Tennessee before transporting their bodies to a residence in Guntown.
The two surviving girls were transported to a local medical center.
