Are you watching the Julian Assange interview on 60 minutes? He is highly intelligent and level-headed, with the mind of a lawyer but does not come-off as slick and calculating. He speaks to power and has the principles of our Founding Fathers. Governments around the world are shaking in their boots, including the USA! Sadly, he is also now a high-level target by these same governments, no matter what ideology they hide behind. It’s all about freedom of the press and transparency. All governments fear the truth. Small minds will attack him with labels. Labels are not thoughts, they are a shortcut away from thinking.
For the U.S. Government to now try and attempt to indict and extradite Mr. Assange and hold him as a political prisoner on some obscure 1917 anti-treason law is an absurdity and a misuse of brainpower and of the government’s fiduciary power under its authority to collect and spend the people’s money under taxation…shouldn’t the boldest and the brightest in our government instead use their now questionable intelligence to turn this economy around instead of sticking their fingers into the leaks of transparency of Wikileaks??
