A Georgia church reportedly has banned a 92-year-old woman because she hasn’t been tithing.
According to WALB-TV, First African Baptist Church in Bainbridge sent Josephine King, who attended the church for five decades, a notice saying she “is no longer considered a member” because she “has shown non-support” financially and physically. The letter was signed by Derrick Mike, the church’s senior pastor, the station said.
