Residents of Farmington, Connecticut say 50 Cent is the “biggest star” they have, making him a target for credit card fraud in the area. Dating as far back as 2007, thieves have tried to use Fif’s Amex card to make unauthorized purchases in atleast 5 different cities. The latest incident was reported in late 2010 when a man called a West Hartford electronics store to order 2 large flat screen tv’s to his residence. The store became suspicious and reported the number to Amex, and it turned out to be FIf’s card. When the thief called back asking why his tv hadn’t been delivered, the store told him to come in and pick them up. When the men arrived, police were waiting for them. American Express contacted Fif and he told them to “leave it up to the court” to decide how the theives should be charged. Sounds like swift justice!
