As many as 400 NYPD officers could face disciplinary charges for taking money from friends and family to get them off parking and speeding tickets by ‘losing’ the paperwork.
The New York police force is to charge officers in all 12 Bronx precincts, and possibly other boroughs, for allegedly making the tickets disappear.
Two police lawyers have been transferred from the department’s legal bureau to its advocate’s office, which handles trials against officers, because of the volume of corruption cases, reported the New York Post.
