There are drawbacks to always being open. A series of photos released by an employee at US diner Denny’s provide an insight into the thrills and spills of working the graveyard shift.
The pictures show how staff at Denny’s, which has the slogan ‘America’s diner is always open’, contend with drunks, strange food orders, colleagues falling asleep on the job and brawls.
A worker using the name MisterMutinyX posted the images on social network site Reddit with the description ‘My experience working the graveyard shift at Denny’s’ – sparking hundreds of comments about the joys (or otherwise) of the American institution.
