Tarah Who? and Rock Trio Faul delivers the visual to their single “Yay or Nay”
Rock duo Tarah Who? is known for delivering high-energy rock performances, compiling a substantial discography of music, and putting on an impressive show. The latest single, “Yay or Nay,” is out; it lives up to expectations. “Yay or Nay” is made in collaboration with Spanish punk rock band Faul, who has also been tearing up their indie scene as of late. A trio comprised of German native Corinna Rautenberg and Galicia locals- V Blanco and Laura Villar. Faul lends their vocal chops to the mix. Not in English, but with all the lead singers contributing a mash-up of English, Spanish, and German vocals in their local tongue. The result is an uproariously fun track, as the vocalists come together to significant effect. Everyone adds a particular enthusiasm to their performance, with Tarah and Corinna adding a phenomenal amount of grit to the song. As they demand one to “pick up the phone” and “not make empty promises,” there’s a lovely sense of grungy goodness exuding from the lyrics. V Blanco and Laura Villar also add a nice layer of sound to the mix, especially during the choruses. They complement the instrumentals here exceptionally well, are equally energetic, and are enjoyable.
Tarah Who? and Faul’s song roll forward without the force of a freight train, with the lead guitars triumphantly heralding the rest of the instruments. If you’re a punk rock fan, this is what you’ve been looking to experience.
The songwriting here plays along with the frantic nature of the tune, resulting in a great listening experience. The production is grungy and gritty to match the song’s perfect overall tone. All the moving elements on “Yay or Nay” work together, and the result is simply glorious punk rock joy. Overall, Tarah Who? and Faul does a fantastic job on “Yay or Nay” it’s a must-listen for any fan of punk music.
