A tip from a Clinton pharmacy led to a prescription forgery ring bust, police say.
A tip from a Clinton pharmacy led to a prescription forgery ring bust, police said.
The multi-agency investigation, which included Clinton police, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy, began in early August, authorities said.
Between August and October, investigators recovered 43 fraudulent prescriptions in Hinds, Madison, Rankin and Warren counties.
The investigation led officers Wednesday to the home of Prince Jackson and Elizabeth Jackson at North Town Apartments in Clinton, where MBN agents serving a search warrant seized computers, printers, hard drives and prescription-grade paper that was believed to have been used to manufacture the fraudulent prescriptions. Drugs, including oxycodone and Hydrocodone, were also seized, Clinton police said.
