In the scheme of wireless phone plans most people tend to only think about the big players with the largest networks, like T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T, but there are more options out there than some people realize. TextNow wireless for instance strips away the conventional opinions of what wireless should be and takes a less traditional route to providing customers with wireless plans through its cloud-based phone service and no contract plans, similar to Google’s Project Fi, and allows for a connection to the network via WiFi, or Sprint’s network when WiFi is not available. Today they’re announcing a brand new unlimited offering in their plan set alongside two new additions to their smartphone lineup. All of TextNow’s plans are affordable and based on how much data each person needs every single month, and all plans come with unlimited voice and unlimited messages.
With TextNow’s new ‘Tall’ plan, service starts at just $18.99 a month, customers can sign up with no contract to get unlimited voice and text as well as 500MB of monthly 3G/4G data. There are also three other plans available, jumping up from the Tall plan to the Grande, which gives users a little more data every month, and instead of 500MB users get double the data at 1GB for a monthly cost of $26.99. After the Grande, customers have their choice of the Venti and Trenta plans, which come with 2GB and 4GB of 3G/4G data for $39.99 or $59.99 a month respectively. As stated above all plans come with unlimited calling and texting, but not just to the U.S., as TextNow plans include unlimited calling and texting to Canada as well.
As for the phones added to the lineup of offerings, customers now have the choice of picking up either a Google Nexus 5, or a Motorola Moto X. Keep in mind this is for the original Moto X and not last year’s model. If users choose the Nexus 5, the phone will only cost $249.99, and can be picked up in either black or white with 16GB of internal storage. For the Moto X, customers are looking at $149.99 for the black 16GB model, or $174.99 for the black 32GB model. TextNow also offers the Moto G first gen, the LG Optimus F3, the Samsung Galaxy S III or the Samsung Galaxy S 4, and all phones can be purchased with the setup of any one of the plans. All the devices except for the Nexus 5 and the Moto X are refurbished models, or you can simply set up a plan with your own phone.
