Scott Storch being sued, claims made that he was too strung out to finish job

Recovering hip-hop producer Scott Storch has reportedly been sued by an up-and-coming singer who claims she shelled out big bucks for his services but received problems in return.

Legendary hip hop producer Scott Storch is being sued by an aspiring singer … who claims she paid Storch a ton of money to produce her album … but he was too drugged out to get the job done. The woman on the attack is Treena Ruberg … who claims Storch — who’s worked with superstars like Dr. Dre, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and more — agreed to produce 6 songs for Treena in exchange for $45,000 back in October 2011 … $30k of which she paid up front. According to Treena’s lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Storch acknowledged he had a previous drug problem … but insisted he was now “cured of his past problem” and would be able to deliver the tracks by the end of November. (TMZ)

Despite his promise of a drug problem being a thing of the past, Ruberg claims Storch still struggled to live up to their deal.

But Treena says Storch straight up lied … claiming he “continued to have a drug addiction and other personal problems which rendered him incapable of producing any recordings.” Now, Treena says she wants her $30k back … plus an additional $70k for all of the out-of-pocket expenses she incurred during the process … including plane flights, studio time and having to hire another producer. Storch made headlines after getting arrested in Las Vegas on a drug possession charge.

Music producer Scott Storch was arrested earlier this month (February) for cocaine possession – and RumorFix has the mugshot. A spokesperson for the Las Vegas Police Department confirmed that Storch was arrested on Saturday, February 4, for possession of a controlled substance; that substance being cocaine. The rep adds, “Police encountered Storch in connection to a dispute call allegedly concerning his Cosmopolitan Hotel bill.” Storch, who has produced music for artists like Christina Aguilera, has since been released. No word on when he’s due in court to face the possession charge. (RumorFix)

The hitmaker previously talked about what efforts he made to better himself and get back to his music grind.

“I’m taking it back to square one,” he explained in an interview. “I found myself slipping a little bit, got involved in doing drugs and you know, I had to get myself into recovery, realized I was powerless over it and you know, being in the life that I was living, very fast moving, option to do or buy anything you want, go anywhere you wanna go definitely takes its toll on you. And you lose your concept of reality with the drugs and everything, had to get it under control so I’m taking it back to the beginning, back to the Hit Factory where I made a lot of my hits.” (MTV)
