Down South, we are no stranger to helping each other out. L.E.G.S. is no exception to that – L.E.G.S. stands for “Ladies Exemplifying Greatness Social Clubâ€.
L.E.G.S. was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in August of 2009 and is a social club for ladies from diverse backgrounds. The members seek to elevate their community through services, support and partnerships and to date, they are doing big things.
Community outreach is one of the main endeavors of L.E.G.S. Their outreach provides opportunities to enhance its members through educational and professional development via community service and activities. They desire greatness and use their outreach mission to reach that goal. Their outreach programs cover the following areas:
- Charity & Awareness Walks
- Random Acts of Kindness
- Adoption of Local Nursing home
- Health Fairs
- Cleaning Up Communities
- Habitat for Humanity
- Domestic Violence Awareness
- Perfect Prom Programs
- A Healthier You
- Designing Educational & Social Events for Youth
