PINE BLUFF, AR – Tense moments outside Central Moloney as family members of LaTange Long learn that a co-worker shot and killed her at work.
Pine Bluff Police had to subdue the victim’s brother to calm him down.
“He wanted answers,” Long’s sister-in-law Jacqui Mateo said. “He wanted to know how somebody could just walk in there and shoot at his sister.”
Police say Lillie Wilson shot Long inside the building, right in front of fellow coworkers.
“I was sitting at my desk,” Witness Steven Strange said. “I heard 3 crashes.”
Strange heard the shots and ran like so many others. But he went back in.
“I ran to my truck, got my .45. I drew my .45 and said, ‘You raise that gun, you’re dead.’”
He says she listened.
