WGN Reports: Police in southwest suburban Burbank are investigating the stabbing death of a woman just two days after her wedding.
Estrella Carerra, 26, was found stabbed multiple times in dry bathtub in her apartment near 78th St. and S. Rutherford Ave. Sunday afternoon.
Investigators said Carerra was still wearing her wedding dress.
Officers discovered her body after Carerra’s sister called them to make a well-being check at the apartment.
Carrera got married to a 30-year-old Chicago man on Friday and was last scene by family around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Neighbors said Carerra had moved into the apartment about two months ago.
She also had a young son, but neither he nor Carrera’s husband have been found.
Police say Carerra’s death was not a random crime and that the public is not in danger.
