Philly Hip-Hop Star, Lou Anthony Stands Up For Late Nipsey Hussle in his latest single, “Ain’t a Rider”

“They gonna use your fears to control you. So what the fxck are you scared of?” -Lou Anthony
Anthony’s musical influences include the likes of 2Pac, J. Cole, Drake, Mos Def, and new sounds like Tory Lanez and Bryson Tiller. His 2016 single release “All My Life” brought him recognition and praise from hip-hop legends Black Thought and Cam’Ron.
As a self-taught audio engineer, he is responsible for the mixing and mastering of hundreds of tracks, including all 10 of his own studio projects. The song’s title, “Ain’t a Rider”, is a reference to Big Pun’s original title (You Ain’t a Killer) and one of Hussle’s most quotable lines where he said if he ended up being martyred, “Y’all better ride.” Anthony described it as the “perfect way” to pay tribute to both everliving legends. The song is a cover to Big Pun’s 1997 release “You Ain’t a Killer,” re-written by Anthony to honor both Pun and Hussle. In the very first lines of the remake, Anthony makes his message clear:
“R.I.P Big Pun, but when them n***** took Nipsey, y’all ain’t ride right!”
On May 11th, 2019, Lou Anthony will be releasing his debut single, “Rather,” from his self-owned record label The Ludlow Sounds. His debut studio album ”SELF: Something Everyone Looks For” is scheduled to be released in summer 2019.
