NBA Stars Set to Play in Charity Showcase Game

SLAM Magazine, Victory H2O, C9 by Champion, The V Firm, Q6 Entertainment, and The Cube Lounge are sponsors of the Southern Hospitality Showcase Atlanta 2011 that will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2011.

The sporting event is a summer league styled, competitive basketball exhibition featuring over 20 of the NBA’s hottest players in a high paced, energetic “pick-up” style game. The event is set to coincide with BET Hip Hop Awards Weekend and will be played at Morehouse College – Forbes Arena

Proceeds from the charity event will benefit The American Heart Association, Sickle Cell Anemia & Research, Green Boy, and Morehouse College Athletics.

Street Basketball Association in partnership with HLA Management is the production team for the Southern Hospitality Showcase Atlanta 2011. The event will also include live entertainment with performances and DJ Irie, Official DJ of the Miami Heat.

NBA players who have confirmed their participation include Marquis Daniels, Rajon Rondo. Jason Terry, Steven Jackson, Nate Robinson, Josh Howard, John Wall, Al Harrington, Josh Selby, Trey Thompkins, Travis Thompkins, and JJ Hickson. More player announcements are expected in the coming days.

Attendees can expect a perfect blend of the rawness and athleticism street ball is known best for, and the strategies and techniques of professional ball play.  We’re going to have a great time and raise money for some very worthy causes,” explains Marquis Daniels.

Tickets go on sale September 22, 2011 on http://ticketalternative.com, and http://whyiball.com.  Patrons can also purchase tickets at Forbes Arena Box Office the day of the event.  The game will be streamed live on http://SlamOnline.com courtesy of http://SpunLive.com.
