The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission embarked on a wonderful collaboration with the Florida Martin Luther King, Jr. Institute for the Nonviolence Economic Summit. DuShun Scarbrough brought delegates from all four congressional districts of Arkansas and set out to sunny Miami Florida to teach and collaborate on efforts to continue Dr. King’s dream. Scarbrough wants these delegates to assist him with promoting economic development throughout the state of Arkansas. The three day summit included a young entrepreneur who created NanoSplash, a covid device and principles to practice non-violence. The six principles of Non Violence action include Courage, Beloved Community, Attack evil and not those doing evil, Accept suffering, Avoid internal violence of the spirit, and practice that the Universe is on the side of justice. Mr. John T. Jones, the Executive Director was the guest speaker.
