Juvenile arrested in Miami

Rapper Juvenile was arrested early Monday morning at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach after an incident at LIV nightclub, Miami Beach Police said.

The New Orleans-born rapper, whose real name is Terius Gray, was arrested on disorderly conduct charges, according to MBPD spokeswoman Det. Vivian Hernandez. County inmate records show he was held at Miami-Dade’s Pre-Trial Detention Center before bonding out Monday morning.

A fight that began inside LIV continued outdoors after several people were escorted from the club around 4 a.m., according to Juvenile’s arrest report. A crowd of about 100 people had gathered at the hotel’s valet area and were “yelling and screaming and some were pushing each other.”

As responding police officers ordered those involved to leave the premises, Juvenile was involved in a fight.

“Mr. Gray was visualized heading toward to Collins Ave. to enter his vehicle to exit the property,” wrote an arresting officer, “but prior to leaving the property he was involved in a fight with an unknown subject.”

Juvenile was arrested after police and security personnel from LIV had to intervene to separate him from the other man.

The incident isn’t the 37-year-old’s first brush with the law. Juvenile was previously arrested in Miami in 2001 for breaking a bottle of Champagne over a man’s head outside the Improv Comedy Club, and has also faced legal trouble over child support payments and drugs charges stemming from separate incidents in Louisiana in 2003, 2010, and 2011.
