John Edwards WILL be prosecuted over campaign ‘violations’

Shamed former presidential hopeful John Edwards seems likely to face prosecution over claims he broke campaigning rules to cover up his affair with an aide, it was reported today.

Edwards, who was fighting to become the Democrats’ 2008 nomination for the U.S. presidency at the time of his affair with Rielle Hunter, has been the subject of a lengthy federal investigation.

Now sources close to the investigation have reportedly confirmed that the U.S. Justice Department will allow the indictment of the former senator over claims he accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations illegally.
