Ex-Washington County Jail staffer Jill Curry was sentenced to more than four years in prison Monday for repeatedly having sex with an inmate.
Presiding Judge Charles Bailey said he wasn’t convinced that the dangerous inmate seduced Curry and acted as the aggressor in their relationship.
“I find that stupid and ludicrous,” he told Curry after her tearful apology.
Curry pleaded guilty last month to custodial sexual misconduct and other charges stemming from her contact with a 25-year-old gang member who was housed in the jail’s maximum-security unit.
