George Zimmerman Apologises To Trayvon Martin’s Parents As Judge Sets Bond At $150K

In a dramatic turn, George Zimmerman apologised to the parents of slain teen Trayvon Martin, saying: ‘I am sorry for the loss of your son…I did not know if he was armed or not.’

Zimmerman made the brief statement as he took the witness stand during today’s hearing over whether he should be released on bond

His attorney requested that bond be set at no more than $15,000, but the state of Florida requested that it be set at a much steeper $1million. The judge set bail at $150,000.
