A Delaware man was executed Friday for killing his wife’s lover.
Shannon Johnson, 28, waived his right to further his appeal and sought to speed his death by legal injection.
Johnson was convicted of the murder of Cameron Hamlin, 25, who he suspected of having an affair with his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child.
The name of the woman has not been released.
Johnson shot Mr Hamlin, an aspiring musician, in September 2006 when he found him sitting in a car with his former girlfriend, years after they had separated.
Later, Johnson shot the woman but she survived.
According to delawareonline.com, Johnson evaded detection between the two shootings by dressing in a Muslim woman’s all-covering burka.
