Platinum songwriter Dappa surprisingly unleashes new mixtape “Rappapalooza ‘Hot Winter'”.
On the heels of his new video “Motivation” and a compelling “U Name It Challenge” performance on Sheba Turk’s 504 specialty show, Dappa creates feel good music. He hints with an oxymoron “Hot Winter” in the artwork and subtitle for this project.
Descriptive of his style, “Rappapalooza” includes a snowman near the shore of blue waters on the cover but it’s what lives within the graphics that will have fans connecting to the latest offering by the upbeat artist.
The Heat Magazine wanted our readers to hear it first. Dappa jumps in with an urban intro “Fresh Kings” and sets an energetic tone. Transitioning to a nostalgic ” Outchea,” the Fresh Music Group artist performs engaging lyrics and brings us back to carefree days in life over a “Mr. Telephone Man” interpolation.
Dappa stays true to the roots of authentic hip hop on “Give Up The Goods” while sharing bars with Alfred Banks over a classic Mobb Deep composition. Then, Dappa hypes it up for the fellas and ladies on “Bad and the Bourgeoisie” featuring Prince Asim. The witty rapper gains a nod from The Heat Magazine with this consistent product. Moving forward, this creative narrates an eclectic “Blood On My Notepad” with a unique and imagery filled display of lyrical ability.
“Over You” is a grown and sexy favorite as Dappa spits heartfelt lyrics illustrating the ebb and flow within a relationship and he asserts his personal standards as well as self-worth.
