Coline Creuzot: Beautiful Songstress Putting in Work

The beautiful Coline Creuzot

Singer, dancer, Texas native, and multi-faceted entertainer – introducing Coline Creuzot, a beautiful songstress who captures her audience’s attention from the start of her performances.

Coline is an intelligent and ambitious young lady, who is destined to go far in the entertainment industry. She has hopes not only of catapulting her career further into the mainstream, but she also has lofty ambitions of one day owning a record label and the good looks to follow through.

Coline is an old soul in a young body – something that will only serve to provide longevity for what is sure to be a fruitful and boundless musical career. Beyonce, Brandy, Tamia, and Aaliyah are just some of the artists who provided inspiration to Coline.

Coline has been busy making music, as well as working as a dancer. “Head Turner” was her inaugural mixtape hosted by Paul Wall, and she followed up by releasing “Diamond in the Rough”, which includes features from legends such as Slim Thug, DJ Drama, DJ Khaled, Chamillionaire, and Solange Knowles, just to name a few. “Welcome to My World” is her latest mixtape that has been described as “playing like a radio-worthy album.” Coline also made an appearance in Solange Knowles’ hit video, “I Decided”, as well as touring as her background dancer.  Without a doubt, Coline has been putting in work, with her most recent release being a new single, “Ohh Wee” featuring Fat Pimp and produced by The Gladiatorz. She is preparing to shoot the video for the song, which is poised to climb to the top of the charts.

The Heat Magazine caught up with Coline and she took time out of her busy schedule to speak with us. Here’s what she had to say:

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: You obviously have quite a resume for someone so young. Tell our readers what lead you to become a singer.

COLINE CREUZOT: I did a couple of competitions in school and church. I was in a couple of groups, but kind of wanted to do my solo thing.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What is the style of music you perform? What sets you apart from the crowd?

COLINE CREUZOT: I’ve been learning to write and even do country music, so I think my style is different. I tell stories in my songs like a lot of country songs do. My style is a blend of R&B, soul, pop, and country, so I think that’s kind of what sets me apart from what’s out right now.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: You’ve worked with quite a few seasoned artists. How was it working with the legendary Paul Wall?

COLINE CREUZOT: It was actually very good. My former manager also managed Paul Wall, so I had a lot of opportunities to work with him and also had opportunities to work with a lot of other artists – Chamillionaire, and other entertainers in and around Houston. That was a blessing to have those doors open for me. It kind of showed me a different way. Rappers work a little differently. Their grind is a bit different from R&B artists. It was definitely a great experience.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Are you looking to get into any other forms of entertainment in the future, besides dancing and singing?

COLINE CREUZOT: Most definitely. I would actually love to start my own record label. I would like to get back to the old style. The direction of R&B has changed. A lot of artists are gravitating toward pop, electronica and doing things more commercial, which I think it great, but there are a lot of artists out here who are supertalented, who don’t get an opportunity because they may look a certain way or because their music is too soulful. They kind of want to put you in a box, so I would like to go back and give an opportunity to them to get back to the talent aspect of it. I would also like to do some acting. I love to act.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What projects are currently in the works for you?

COLINE CREUZOT: I currently have a mixtape that’s out called “Welcome To My World” that plays like an album. All but one of the songs is an original, which is a cover song I did. I also just dropped “Ohh Wee”, a hot new single featuring Fat Pimp. I’m on the ‘Music Matters’ Campaign, as one of the only unsigned artists on the campaign, so I would love for everyone to check me out on the site at www.bet.com/musicmatters. Anybody who wants to check me out on the social networks can do so, so they can keep up with my up and coming projects.
