The devastated wife of slain Queens rapper Lionel (Chinx) Pickens says the “devils” who destroyed her family deserve payback.
“I wish a slow torturous death on who ever did this to my baby,” Janelli Caceres wrote on Facebook after her 31-year-old rapper husband was killed Sunday in a drive-by shooting in his home borough.
Speaking Monday outside the family’s two-story brick duplex in Ozone Park, Caceres said the couple’s youngest child still doesn’t understand his dad is gone for good.
“My little Vince,” she said, referring to her 4-year-old son. “It’s very hard, heartbreaking. It’s tragic. He didn’t die after an illness. He was murdered. It’s nothing that you can ever prepare for. We are just shocked.”
She said it’s been hard shielding the kids from pain, especially the two girls aged 11 and 14.
“His daughters obviously know. There’s no hiding it from them. They are old enough to go on social media. His son also knows, but he doesn’t understand what it means. He just wants his father home. He’s asking for his father,” Caceres said, wearing sunglasses to hide her swollen eyes.
The young mom, 28, said she met Pickens 13 years ago.
“I was 15, in high school. He was 18. He wasn’t in high school,” she said managing a smile. “We both grew up in Far Rockaway. We spent 13 years together. Now he’s gone.”
