Carnival Cruise Worker Popped For Molesting 14-Year-Old Girl Aboard Ship

A Carnival Cruises employee finds himself in hot water after being accused of engaging in sexual acts with a 14-year-old girl earlier this month. Kert Clyde Jordan, a 35-year-old ship employee, now faces federal charges after he allegedly lured the young passenger into a bathroom and engaged in statutory rape.

The young girl was traveling with her family about the Carnival Liberty. The 952 foot Liberty is docked in Miami and usually takes cruises through the Caribbean. Jordan, a waiter who is a citizen of Grenada, allegedly lured the girl into a bathroom and engaged in sexual acts with her on November 4th and 5th while the ship was in international waters.

The girl waited to tell her family what had happened until after they returned home, but was able to identify Jordan during the investigation. He now faces charges of sexual abuse of a minor, and is in custody in Miami. His first court appearance is scheduled for December 1st.
