A Best Buy customer is considering suing the electrical giant, alleging an employee fixing his phone used it to falsely out him as gay on Facebook.
Rich Dewberry from Denver, Colorado had to field calls from confused friends, relatives and former lovers after the prankster posted the confession as a status update on his Facebook page.
Best Buy have fired the employee responsible, but Mr Dewberry is considering legal action, insisting he has been humiliated by the outing.

The hacking occurred after Mr Dewberry dropped his smart phone off at a local branch of Best Buy.
Staff were unable to repair the phone, so they gave him a new one.
In the time it took to transfer Mr Dewberry’s data from one phone to another, the message appeared as a status update on his Facebook page.
It read:’I am gay, Im coming out.’
He told ABC7 News: ‘The phone just started ringing constantly after that, from ex-spouse to friends.
‘I feel I’ve been humiliated, you know, I mean, my reputation has been tarnished.’
