Chances are when former New Orleans Hornets coach Byron Scott moved out of his Kenner, Louisiana home, he had little thought that it might end up as the set for the Oxygen Channel’s show “Bad Girls Boot Camp.”
Neighbors in Chateau Estates subdivision, located in Kenner, Louisiana, just outside of Suburban New Orleans, are up in arms over the thought of having the show filming in their residential neighborhood.
Kenner city officials determined today that city ordinances prohibit the unscripted reality show from filming at a mansion located in Chateau Estates. Officials reportedly advised the production company of their position this morning, according to Kenner city attorney Keith Conley.
Mayor Mike Yenni put his two cents worth in as well and indicated that the ordinances prohibit more than four unrelated persons from living in a single family dwelling within Kenner city limits.
The production company has reportedly agreed to talk with their legal team to decide how they will proceed. Kenner officials do not believe that taping will begin on Friday. If the production company does proceed with taping, the Kenner Police Department will decide whether the ordinance will be enforced.
