NIK: So, Shakeia Cowan, writer of both the book and the play, what prompt the encore of “The Delicate Flower“?
COWAN: The 14th Street Play House said they had not seen such a caliber of people to come out to see a performance. Then the audience was like wow, when can we see this again? We had people that were disappointed that they didn’t see it. And those that did see it was like rubbing it in their faces. (She giggles)
