As CEO of his former record label known then as DPC Movements Records aka Driven Paper Chasers he managed 14 artists locally and internationally, models, DJs and had a video director who today is one of the best in the business.
The label was forced to shut down all operations in June of 2017 by the Montreal police due to a false accusation on his former artists and him that was later issued an apology by the SPVM. He had to cut ties with everyone in his team, even his engineers as well as studios, venues and festivals which he used to frequent.He was issued a mention and awarded an honorable mention by the SPVM due to his outstanding work behind the scenes working his day job as a specialized educator running a program at headquarters downtown. He was working with a group of adults with intellectual disabilities with aggressive tendencies which he found very rewarding.
Fast forward five years later, time to make a comeback stronger than ever with his new entertainment company “Driven Paper Next Level”. The focus with this company deals with Artist Relations and Development, Event Coordination and Organization with a hint of digital distribution and PR services.
Linkcon has a lot on his plate with the launch of his own signature shoe, his first model known as the Driven Culture, which he designed himself and has them hand crafted by artisans in the petit Marche in Italy. An idea turned into a reality that is creating a serious buzz.
The ball is rolling already as he was recently accepted in Shoe Circle Fashion Collective will give his brand worldwide visibility and a nice introduction to the fashion world.
Demetrius was also named the new A&R ( Talent Scout) at Press Town PR, a Canadian based music publicity firm as well as becoming the new special advisor for major events at the Jamaica Association of Montreal.
He also is the director of a program called “Applied Social Skills Through Sports” that caters to hockey for adults with intellectual disabilities, and it is year number 5 already. Expect to see great things coming from Linkcon for years to come.
