World renown designer Karl Lagerfeld has been known for years for his contributions to the world of high fashion. Now he’s known for something else – sticking his foot in his mouth.
Late last week, Lagerfelt made some nasty and controversial comments about Adele‘s weight, making headlines around the world. Adele countered with an unheard of response.
The sensation with an amazing voice declared that she is “proud” of her image as a representative of “real” women and that she has never aspired to look like the type of women that Lagerfeld sends down his catwalks.
In an interview with People magazine, the 23-year-old Adele said, “I’ve never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines. I represent the majority of women and I’m very proud of that.”
Speaking to Anderson Cooper on his show that aired this past Sunday evening, just prior to the Grammys, she said “I don’t want to be some skinny mini with my t*** out. I really don’t want to do it and I don’t want people confusing what it is that I’m about,” as reported by US Weekly.
#SALUTE, Adele!
