(The-Sun)- 31 year old Malikah Bennett is facing child abuse and first degree murder charges for the death of her 4 year old daughter Majelic “Jellie” Young.
Majelic was reported missing in September of 2020 but her remains were found in May of 2021. Majelic was also found to be abused by her mother Malikah Bennett before she died.
Majelic’s 13 year old sister who remains anonymous, made claims in a warrant that their mother Malikah demanded Majelic to stand in a laundry room for three days straight. In addition to Majelic being forced to stand, she was not allowed to sit down and rest or take breaks. After awhile it became difficult for Majelic to breathe, and by the third day Majelic collapsed to the ground hitting her head.
Sadly, the warrant also states that, Malikah Bennett cleaned Majelics body, before placing her inside two plastic bags and rode around with her young body for five days. Majelics sister also made claims that her mother Malikah, after digging a whole in the backyard of their home, forced her to help bury the body of her young sister using a shovel, which was found at the scene of the crime.
A friend of the family, Lucille Puckett who followed Majelic’s story for some time describes the disturbing details of the warrant as torture for the young girl.
