Tell us about where your from?
I live in Kentucky however I am originally from St. Louis.
What is your favorite genre of music to perform?
You know what? That is a good question, I would have to say anything that has energy to it, something you can feel, without seeing.
How long have you been doing what you’re doing and how did you get started in the first place?
All my life, I was introduced to music by my mother and my aunt, they were professional gospel singers.
What do you think is the biggest problem in the industry today?
It’s funny you ask that, I’m working on a track that’s going to answer that question. Lol, it will drop at the end of the year.
Who were the first influences on your music and style?
The streets had a lot of influence on both. Like I said before, it depends on the energy it projects. As far as style, I don’t have just one, my style comes from the energy the producer creates, you feel me?
I grew up listening to the OG’s car systems vibrating my block as they rolled by so that energy, is what I’m talking about period it’s difficult to explain, it’s kind of like, when you try to sing a song that you like, but you don’t know all the words, lol. But you still try to sing it, that’s one way I can describe it.
In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why?
I really don’t have one, the reason why, I don’t want to have other artists musical styles bleed into my own, and there are a lot of successful artists out there, that a lot of people have no idea who they are, but yet, they are very successful.
What aspect of the music making process excites you most, and what aspect discourages you the most?
The creativity of music, and the idea of getting out a message through music, that people can identify with.
Being in the studio excites me, lol, and the discouragement is not having enough time in the studio, I wish I could live in there you know what I’m saying, don’t have time to waste my sponsor’s money.
In your experience thus far, what is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed? And one you didn’t follow, but now know for sure that you should have?
Wow, well, the best advice that I’ve gotten has come from multiple famous people, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, told me always be true to yourself, and Sid one of the djs, told me, always give it your all. The other guys in that group, I won’t say what they told me lol, they are all wild but great guys. The artist that I work with, the Goodyear pimps, they party and have the times of their life. David Draymond the lead singer from Disturbed, told me keep making sick music, he loves my style he says. I could go on and on there’s just too many major artists that have told me things, it’s hard to remember all of what each of them said, but all have given good advice, and hanging out with those guys was a blast for me.
What single are you currently pushing and what will you be dropping next?
The single is called, “Peace” and the next single is called, “Twisted Picture”, it talks about people trying to make you look bad but they are actually the real devils, so in other words don’t point your finger at everybody else trying to tell them they got a thorn in their eye, when you have a plank hanging out of yours.
