(HEAT RECOMMENDED EVENT) WCWM: Who’s Coming With Me LAUNCH PARTY

WCWM LAUNCH complete

“WCWM is about relationship building as a means of becoming more interdependent within the New Orleans Black community. It is a solution toward ending the violence, poverty and criminalization that many of our inner city youth too often fall victim to. It’s about providing businesses with the support they need to continue to grow and employ young skilled workers at living wages. WCWM promotes investing in young aspiring artists and entrepreneur through mentorship from established and skilled artists and entrepreneurs within the Black community. Together we can be the change we want to see in New Orleans. All I wanna know is Who’s Coming With Me?” – Christine “Cfreedom” Brown

We have watched Christine “Cfreedom” Brown work tirelessly to educate and effect social change through her music, art and blood, sweat and tears – both literally and figuratively. Her “WCWM” movement, which stands for “Who’s Coming With Me”, is holding its official launch party at New Orleans’ Axiom Art Gallery on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Ms. Brown is an artist/photographer/activist whose work has not gone unnoticed.  She has been extremely vocal when it comes to issues dealing with the African-American community and she unapologetically pushes the agenda of social change to the point where it has inspired countless others to also take action.

Make plans to attend and support the movement at the official WCWM Launch Party at Axiom Art Gallery, 4613 Freret Street, Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  The event is FREE and open to the public. Come through and learn more about the WCWM unity movement, the work it is doing, and the ways you can support its growth.  There will be a brief Black business panel introduction, including spokespersons from Amaru ComeUnity Homeschool, Axiom Art Gallery, Black Star Books & Caffe, Community Foodie, and True Love Movement. There will be performances from HBO Def Poet Asali Devan Ecclesiastes, 2015 Best Conscious Hip Hop Artist Award recipient, Ra Yoseph “King Supreme”, and even some youth will hit the stage.  Cfreedom will be exclusively premiering her latest song titled, “Dat Black Power” and Cfreedom Photography will be presenting a sneak peek of a photography series called “Underground Railroad”.
