Mom Charged With Whipping Son, 4, To Death Because He WET Himself

A mother of three from Houston, Texas, has been accused of killing her four-year-old son by whipping him to death after the boy wet himself in the family car over the weekend.

Vastie Coleman, 27, has been charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury and was ordered held without bond on Tuesday in the Harris County Jail in connection to the death of Kyron Barnes.

One of the children told investigators Coleman used a cord to beat little Kyron because ‘the belt was broken because mom kept whipping the kids so hard it broke into pieces.’

Last Sunday night, sheriff’s deputies were sent to investigate what happened to Coleman’s son at the family’s apartment in the 5300 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway.

Shortly before their arrival, the 27-year-old woman allegedly put Kyron in the tub after he peed on himself in the car and whipped him for more than 20 minutes until he stopped breathing.

When paramedics arrived, the four-year-old was unresponsive. They tried to revive him, but to no avail. The boy was taken to Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
