Sen.: Make Facebook password request illegal: MyFoxBOSTON.com
(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – More and more job seekers say they are being asked to submit their Facebook passwords when applying for jobs.
Now, a Connecticut senator is writing up a federal bill that would make it illegal.
Richard Blumenthal says the practice is an unreasonable invasion of privacy and needs to be addressed.
The Democrat says his bill will have some exceptions for federal and local law enforcement agencies, as well as government agencies.
