Earlier today, the Cliffview Pilot broke the story that a Hackensack, New Jersey was who had been charged with forcing a female into prostitution to pay back a debt, was being charged with human trafficking.
Terrance McCarroll’s bail was set at $120,000 after the trafficking charges were filed against him. 29-year old McCarroll voluntarily went to Hackensack Police Headquarters because he thought he was being questioned about marijuana found at his apartment. What had actually taken place, was that a female sent a message via Facebook, stating that McCarroll was forcing her to turn tricks to pay back a debt.
McCarroll reportedly bonded that female out of the Ocean County Jail on an auto theft charge, after meeting a woman on the inside who told her he would bail her out if she worked off her debt.
Human trafficking has become a huge problem inside of the U.S. recently. If you suspect someone is a victim of human trafficking, report it to your local authorities.
