2 young boys have been arrested for stealing a van from St. Vincent’s School in Marinwood, California, a “licensed residential treatment home†for boys.
Authorities were called to the school to investigate a complaint that the juveniles had left in a stolen van. A staff member noticed that the boys were not in their bed and then noticed that a window pane had been removed. A second staff member saw the van leaving the property.
An investigation revealed that the boys had entered a staff office and stole the keys to the school van, just prior to leaving. After spotting the van just after 6 a.m., deputies attempted to pull it over.
The 10-year old driver was only 4 feet tall and was operating the van without headlights. The van was stopped and the boys were taken into custody. They were booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall on charges of auto theft.
