Dr. Miami In A Snap!

Thursday, June 2nd, 2016

top picture

It’s a weeknight and planted in front of the television is a young impressionable kid doing what kids do, daydreaming that they are a part of the show. Oh, the show is MASH, like MASH the one with the military doctors getting in oodles of trouble while deployed in Vietnam, yeah that one. And that child is pretending not only to be on the show, but to do exactly like those doctors and make a difference, but he doesn’t quite know exactly how, when, or where. All the kid knows is that he wants to be a doctor, so many nights he ponders on that show and those characters and what it could possibly be like to be in the trenches of medical life.

Fast forward, now the kid has become a young man full of ambitions and still focused on becoming a medical doctor. After all those years you’d think that his focus might have drifted into another field of practice, but no it hasn’t. That burning desire has kept with him, and he’s actually in medical school trying to determine exactly which type of doctor he’d like to be…(most of us have changed our major like 12 times by now). Then one day as he was in a doctors office in Manhattan escorting a girlfriend who was to undergo surgery on a scar she received in a car accident, it hit him (no pun intended). Never before had he ever seen what he saw in that waiting area, a book of transformation, surgical transformations that amazed the young lad… That was the beginning of who you now know as the world renowned doctor to the stars Dr. Michael “Miami” Salzhaeur!

From the little kid with huge dreams to now being one of the most sought after surgeons in the states, Dr. Salzhaeur’s work is a beautiful testament to his determined young life. That determination is exactly what he stresses to his young followers on SNAPCHAT! His audience on snapchat has grown to literally hundreds of thousands to the point that he was even nominated for a Shorty award as “Best Snap Chatter Of the Year”. A doctor coming in second place to a hip-hop artist blows my mind and is confirmation to him as a person and dare I say artist.

As I spoke with Dr. Miami it was apparent to me that his charisma and bright personality was infectious and definitely a draw for so many seeking to be inspired. He told me that his favorite procedure to execute is the Brazilian Butt Lift, stating that it’s the only true transfiguring surgery. Dr. Miami spoke about our bodies naturally being square and the BBL shapes a body into an hourglass figure so many are dying for (truly dying for as many have taken the road of backroom facilities and being shot up with household products.) He gave me the impression of an artist who wanted to sculpt beautiful bodies leaving each patient satisfied and excited to show off his work. As we conversed no air of arrogance could be detected, only that of a man who works hard to define himself and stand out among his peers. Its no wonder the celebs are flocking to his practice, I would too… but the way my fat cells are setup, I have not enough to squeeze out and replace, (skinny girl issues). But if those doctors Dr. Michael told me about who are inventing a way to grow fat cells from harvested fat cells makes a breakthrough, I just might be one of Dr. Miami’s newest patients!

Dr. Miami doesn’t only do BBL’s he also does an array of other cosmetic procedures such as tummy tucks, breast augmentation, and facelifts. There are even procedures dedicated to men only and moms “Mommy Makeover”! Just perusing his work online is amazing and jaw dropping. His work is clean, precise, and fastidious. If you ever find yourself in need of a doctor of cosmetic surgery Dr. Michael “Miami” Salzaheur is definitely the man for the job, nose job, boob job, butt job…he gets the job done!

From Southside Baton Rouge, he stepped in on “Youngest Of The Camp,” and segued into Webbie featured  “Ghetto Stories” and “Gangsta Musik”.  Maintaining consistent sales, Boosie Bad Azz is much more to Louisiana rap listeners. He’s a representative for the urban community. A coveted superstar in Louisiana with a cult-like following, Boosie blew up and kept the mixtape game ringing with hot heartfelt mixtapes. Leading him to national prominence, Baton Rouge’s voice experienced the ebb and flow of being a national star.

Overcoming adversity and enjoying the fruits of his labor, Boosie had what some would label the best year of his life followed by discovering he had kidney cancer. Currently rehabilitating from a successful surgery, Torrence “Boosie Bad Azz” Hatch creates a definitive mixtape/album, “In My Feelings (Goin’ Thru It)” that captures his truest current day emotional state.

In brief, the unadulterated lyrical presentation by Boosie continues to serve as the pure reality of life. One of the key attributes Bad Azz possesses is the ability to present the visual and storyline of true experience.

He begins this project with a melancholy “Rain”. “The struggle of  a young hustler, I could teach you man/ Cancer in and out my body, I can breathe again”.  Moving right into “Cancer”, the banging musical oxymoron with a dreamy soulful track, “I can’t believe this ****, Cancer got me scared like I’m bout to leave this ****”. Boosie spits one of his most profound verses, “Father God, I need answers, Tell me God, how I get cancer?” He continues his testimony and asks “How long I live after my kidney gone?”

While it would be effortless to give our readers a song by song review, The Heat is certain readers will take a thorough  listen to this 10-track narrative delivered  by Boosie Bad Azz.

The Heat Magazine encourages our readers to enjoy Boosie’s latest release.

The album can be purchased on iTunes In My Feelings. (Goin’ Thru It) by Boosie Badazz

Sunday, June 7th, 2015

MUSHIYA 1

On Wednesday June 3rd 2015, I was sitting talking to a really good friend of mines and in our conversation I told her that I would love to meet “MRS. MUSHIYA” from the show “Cutting It In The ATL.” She told me to go on Instagram and send her a message, I said why not It’s worth a try. Within the hour after I sent the message, I got a call saying that I could go with “The Heat Magazine” and do a write-up on Mrs. Mushiya the very next day. Oh you see how fast GOD works, that’s what i told my friend.  So I spoke it into the universe and it came to pass. I met Mrs. Mushiya that Thursday night and when i tell you that she is a FORCE TO BE RECKON WITH, honey that’s and understatement!! She’s so humbled and beautiful all in the same breath tho. When she found out about my battle with cancer, she was so amazed. She told me that I was beautiful, gave me a HUGE hug and kissed me on my cheek. I was so humbled, grateful and most of all shocked because she showed me that much love and didn’t know me from a can of paint. She told one of her colleagues about me, which her dad does nothing but research on cancer and took my info so that she could give to her dad for him to call me. I was so amazed myself, but I had to reflect back to why I was really there. That’s where GOD needed me to be at that very moment to do and get what he needed me too. When I say that I had a blast with Mrs. Mushiya and her crew from “THE DAMN SALON”  6780 Roswell Rd Ne. Atlanta, Ga, please believe me, I even won me a great gift! The Damn Salon specializes in ALL natural hair. She said “Who the hell says that natural hair has to be boring!!?” She believes that “BEAUTY” comes in many colors and shades no matter if they have kinky or straight hair. She also loves herself and want to teach more people to do the same. “Who cares what people think of you?” is what she always says. Can you imagine her face when she says that!? Yeah, I know right lol. You can find THE DAMN SALON in a more than just a few places like Atlanta, GA, Washington, DC, Charlotte, NC, New York, Houston, TX, and Montreal. You can also order the hair extensions from her brand called RUNWAY CURLS on her website www.thedamnsalon.com and any other info that you may want to know about this Phenomenal Woman. I’m so glad and honored that I had the pleasure meeting her!! My thoughts of the day!

“PRINCESS BEAUTY BAR & BOUTIQUE”

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015

princess b 0

If anyone could tell you one thing about “Ms. TK” is that I LOVE fashion & style. So I stopped in on not only a GREAT friend of mines but where I shop at as well “Princess Beauty Bar & Boutique”, with the one and only Ms. Crystal Flecther. While I was there I felt what better time for me to pick her brain and ask her a few questions about her business. As we always do when I make my visit we have to drink water & chat to see what’s been going on in each other’s lives since our last visit. Today I surprised her when I asked If I could interview her, man if y’all could see the look on her face, I had to laugh myself. She was willing after I finished laughing. I really wanted to know, what made her open a boutique in the first place. “It’s a passion TK, I always loved to shop so I decided to turn my shopping into a business that also helps the women of the community” is what she says to me, so I say “Oh” because she was telling me something that I didn’t know about her. She goes on to say that she love to help every customer look and feel fabulous as well as to help build up their self-esteem but on a low-cost budget. She opened the doors in 2013, with no overhead all by herself. “It makes me feel like a robot sometimes, but I thank GOD that I’m blessed to be able to do it!” she said. In the next 5 yrs, her vision is to be a fashion expert on a tv show, styling celebrities, having her own Brand & some employees so she’ll have time to do what she needs too. Every year for Mother’s Day she does makeovers for mothers which consists of styling them and getting their hair done, with her being a single mother herself is what inspired her to “GIVE BACK” to the community in that form. She also has brought celebrities such as Shekinah(from the T.I. & Tiny show) , and Perez(He’s a celebrity stylist from ATL) to the city and have what we call a “Sip & Shop” event, that’s where women can come mingle, sip & shop all in one place. It’s not easy having a business especially in a city like Columbus, Ga where there is so much of the same things going on all over the city. When your heart is in the right place it does not matter how many of the same things going on opens, as long as GOD is in it, you’ll always win it!!! That’s what she told me in closing, Now those are some GREAT words to live by. If you’re in the city, stop by and give her a visit at 2400 Hamilton Rd, Columbus Ga or you can check her out on her website www.princessboutiqueorg.bigcartel.com She she “ALL” styles of fashion from business, church, allnight-fun, & causul attire, I promise you’ll be hooked because I’M GUILTY MYSELF!! My thoughts of the day!!

2 rural counties, 142 HIV cases

Saturday, April 25th, 2015

capture-20150425-102717-crop

The number of new HIV infections in a rural Indiana county has grown, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The institute is working with state health leaders to control the “severe outbreak,” which has spread among users of a prescription opioid called Opana.

The outbreak has been ongoing since mid-December. As of Friday, 142 people have tested positive for HIV, with 136 confirmed cases and six more with preliminary positive test results, all in rural Scott and Jackson counties. This is a huge number of cases for an area that has a population of only a few thousand people.

The CDC and state health leaders held a news conference Friday to talk about the new numbers and about the growing threat of the spread of disease from IV drug use, especially in isolated rural areas that have sparse health resources.

Scott County, the epicenter of the outbreak, has only one doctor who deals with infectious disease, but the doctor is not an HIV specialist, the State Department of Health said. Since the rampant HIV outbreak was first noticed in mid-December, the state has tried to flood the area with additional resources. Indiana declared a public health emergency in that county in March.

Indiana University has sent health volunteers to provide a clinic, open once a week to help treat people and test them for HIV. These workers are also going door to door to try to educate the population about the danger of sharing needles.

So far, 33 patients have visited the temporary clinic, which is starting to see patients return to seek treatment.

It’s called “platelet rich plasma therapy”.

The therapy stimulates hair regrowth and thickens the hair follicles.

It costs $400 per treatment, and some say they have seen results after just one treatment.

Scientists Have Found The Viral Infection That Makes Nearly Half Of Us More Stupid

Sunday, November 9th, 2014

capture-20141109-183228-crop

Nearly half of us could be infected with a virus which makes us more stupid, scientists have found.

The startling discovery suggests that millions may be carrying a long-lasting infection which dulls the brain.

Scientists found the virus living in the throats of 44 per cent of patients tested in a small US study.

Those who were carrying the infection performed worse in intelligence tests, even when education and age were taken into account.

The virus – called chlorovirus ATCV-1 – was previously only known to appear in green algae in freshwater lakes.

The researchers, from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and the University of Nebraska, have not established how the virus comes to infect humans.
