Wife found guilty in murder-for-hire plot

Dalia Dippolito, the South Florida woman accused of hiring a hit man to kill her husband, has been found guilty.

After only three hours of deliberation, a jury found Dippolito guilty Friday of solicitation to commit first-degree murder, reports.

You’ve seen a greedy, manipulative, evil woman who won’t stop at anything to get what she wants,” prosecutor Elizabeth Parker said in closing arguments, reports the station.

Prosecutors say she plotted to kill her husband Michael Dippolito in August 2009. She was seen on police surveillance telling the hit man, who was really an undercover police officer, that she was sure she wanted Michael Dippolito dead, according to the station.

Dippolito claims she was acting for a reality TV show.

  1. This is great!! In the end no one was hurt or killed, as planned, and this chick who was hoping to live a life of luxury off her dead husband’s insurance policy, will instead spend many years in a steel cage, with 100’s of other women, left to think about her evil and wicked ways. Yes! Justice is served!
