New York Grand Jury Declines To Indict In The Death Of Man Who Died After Police Officer Put Him In a Choke Hold

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014

(CNN) — A grand jury in New York on Wednesday decided not to indict white police officer Daniel Pantaleo in the July choke hold death of Eric Garner, an unarmed black man, according to two law enforcement officials.

During the fatal encounter July 17 Garner raised both hands in the air and told the officers not to touch him. Seconds later, a video shows an officer behind Garner grab him in a choke hold and pull him to the sidewalk, rolling him onto his stomach.

“I can’t breathe! I can’t breathe!” Garner said repeatedly, his cries muffled into the pavement.

The grand jury was made up of 14 white and nine nonwhite members.

The cause of Garner’s death was “compression of neck (choke hold), compression of chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police,” the medical examiner’s office has said. The death was ruled a homicide.

Part of the string of texts read, “They are nothing but a bunch of monkeys. The only reason they have this job is the n*****, n***** in them.”

The texts also read, “I wish someone would pull a Ferguson on them and take them out. I hate looking at those African monkeys at work…I enjoy arresting those thugs with their saggy pants.”

As some say, life is stranger than fiction. That proved true recently, when Chinese doctors diagnosed a 2-year-old as “pregnant.” The boy had to have emergency surgery, after finding that he was carrying his twin brother in his stomach.

Xiao Feng was taken to the hospital after the size of his stomach was impairing his ability to breathe. X-Rays were taken, and doctors concluded that he was in fact pregnant. The fetus had certainly grown some, as it developed an 8-inch spinal cord, fingers, and toes.

On an island marked by depravity and violence, Buck may be the most depraved and violent of all. He lives by his own rules – feeding his own insatiable, twisted desires.

His story began in Australia, where he joined the armed forces at an early age. But his commanders quickly discovered his perverse addiction to inflicting pain, and dismissed him. He fell into mercenary work, leading to a contract with Hoyt Volker, the South Pacific’s most notorious drug-runner and slave trader. Hoyt realized that Buck’s ferocious combat skills and unrelenting brutality could be of use. Since then, Buck has answered to no other. When Hoyt needs a kill, Buck gets the call.

Buck is a man of distinctive tastes. Violent torture is his favorite diversion, and he takes a perverse pride in his stomach-churning assaults. “Around here,” he says with a savage leer, “we eat what we kill.”  His outsize Bowie knife is never far from his grasp – or from a terrified victim’s flesh.

Jason Brody first encounters Buck in a desperate search for his kidnapped friend, Keith. Jason learns that Buck has purchased Keith, and bargains for his safe return. Buck makes Jason a deal: if Jason can find and deliver a priceless ancient knife, Buck will let Keith go. Jason agrees, and embarks on a dangerous quest to recover the knife and present it to Buck. But Buck isn’t just holding Keith hostage, Keith has become so much more. Buck is only human after all.

Jason and Buck will have to compete for who is the better man, and only one will emerge victorious. And Buck doesn’t fight fair, he plays for keeps.

Walmart worker mauled by police dog

Ga. – A Riverdale man is recovering after he was attacked early Thursday morning by a Fayette County Sheriff’s Office K-9.

The victim, 52-year-old Mang Dieke, said the dog rushed out of a parked SUV and lunged at him as he was taking a coffee break outside the Fayetteville Walmart store where he works.

“He got right in my face. He got me on the arm, and I had to drag him inside the store to get help,” said Dieke.

Dieke showed Channel 2 Action News reporter Tom Regan the bite marks on his arm, stomach and chest inflicted by the K-9, a Belgian Malinois.

The dog was locked inside the patrol unit outside the store while its deputy handler went into the Walmart to use the restroom around 2 a.m. It is unclear why, but the locked passenger door in front of the dog’s holding pen popped open.

Security camera video shows Dieke staggering into the store with the dog locked on his left arm. He shook the dog off, but it lunged at him again. Moments later, the deputy saw the commotion and rushed to restrain the dog.

“The dog obviously felt the victim was a threat of some sort. I don’t know why,” said Fayette County Maj. Bryan Woodie.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating why the bailout door, which can be released by remote in an emergency, sprung open. The remote device that controls the door, and is carried by the handler, has a recessed button that must be pushed directly two times to release the door, a feature designed to prevent accidental openings.

The remote manufacturer told the Sheriff’s Office Thursday that the device is subject to frequency interference, which raised the possibility that another car remote accidentally opened the door.

“So it could have been some kid playing with a garage door opener, somebody in the parking lot locking, unlocking their door,” said k-2 trainer Lt. Dan Thamert.

The Sheriff’s Office said it was not made aware of the frequency interference issue in the remote and intends to replace the system with a newer model.

Woodie said the dog involved in the attack had not shown unprovoked aggression prior to the incident and receives extensive, ongoing training. K-9 instructors speculate the dog may have overreacted when it jumped out of the vehicle and did not see its deputy handler.

“I don’t know if the victim here did anything to cause the dog to focus on him. It’s unexplained,” said Woodie.

Dieke, who may need surgery for bite marks in his groin area, said he wants answers.

“How could they not control their own dog in public?” said Dieke.

Assistant On The View Shot In a New York Deli For Taking Too Long Ordering a Sandwich

Monday, April 30th, 2012

A production assistant on TV talk show The View was shot in the stomach during an angry stand-off in a New York deli yesterday – all because she took too long ordering her food.

Three armed thugs fired at Lourdes Guillen, 25, as she tried to protect her cousin, Juan Medina, 24 – who had already been shot twice.

Hosts from the TV show have praised Guillen, who still has a bullet lodged in her stomach, as a hero.

This weekend, a member of our “View” family almost paid the ultimate price for her act of heroism,’ said Whoopi Goldberg.

The incident took place at a 24 hour bodega in Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood at 5am on Sunday morning.

Miss Guillen, who works behind the scenes on the hit daytime show, had been celebrating Mr Medina’s last day in the city with a third cousin, Ramali Rodriquez.

The men began hasseling the trio after deciding they were taking too much time ordering their food.

One began fighting with Mr Medina , who is visiting the city from his home in the Dominican Republic, and then pulled out a gun and opened fire – hitting him twice in the stomach.

Doctors at Manhattan’s Bellevue hospital say she is in stable condition, her cousin, Mr Medina is in critical condition after undergoing a four hour operation.

View panelist Barbara Walters said she had spoken to Guillen this morning and that Guillen had told her that would step in front of her cousin again.

‘Lourdes bravely stepped between them and pleaded with the gunman to stop the violence. He responded by shooting her in the stomach,’ Walters said.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck added that Guillen had applied pressure to her cousin’s wounds and said she believe Guillen’s decision to put herself in the line of fire ‘saved both their lives.’

Brides Pay $1,500 To Be Fed By Nose Drips To Shed 20lbs In Ten Days

Monday, April 16th, 2012

With every new wedding season comes a new revolutionary diet that promises expectant brides the answer to squeezing into their dream dress.

But this year’s drastic weight loss solution requires neither a nutritional calendar nor a pair of sweat-wicking exercise pants, only a nose drip and a bag of fluids.

Followers of the K-E diet have a small feeding tube inserted into the nose that administers fat, protein and water to the body and stops them eating for ten days.

Bit by bit, the solution is deposited into the stomach via the nasogastric tube, delivering 800 calories a day and suppressing the appetite.

The astonishingly fast results are achieved as body fat is burned off through a process known as ketosis.
