New Orleans, Louisiana has some of the most amazing talent on Planet Earth. And the city keeps secrets. Unlike Las Vegas, where everything kind of stays there, New Orleans often times unleashes those secrets on the world – and so it is with the entertainer who goes by the name of Roca B.

Whether it’s a performance with super dope trumpeter Shamarr Allen, or the call and chant expert Big Choo, or even some of mainstream music’s brightest stars, Roca B is putting in work and gaining a huge amount of recognition for just that.

We caught up with Roca B and here’s what he had to say:

Tell us about yourself – who is Roca B and what makes you tick?

ROCA B: I am the soul of R&B and music is my life. Listening to great music of any kind gets me moving.

New Orleans ia a talent mecca. How does being from there influence your style and art? What does it do for your grind and hustle?

ROCA B: Coming from the Birthplace of Jazz, that automatically influenced me because the music is everywhere. As a child I would walk in the French Quarters just to hear the music and see people dancing and moving to the sounds.

What sets you apart from other artists?

ROCA B: I have the uncanny ability to sound like any artist. I also can sing over any beat in at almost any speed.

Who all have you worked with?

ROCA B: I have worked with artists such as Kidd Kidd, Curren$y, Mr. Marcelo, Calliope Var, Bigg Choo, UTP Skip, Kourtney Heart, Joker, P-Town Moe – the list goes on.

Where can we expect to see your career in 5 years?

ROCA B: You can expect my career to be at the top of the musical charts.

Do you have hopes of getting into any other avenue(s) of entertainment?

ROCA B: Yes, I have always been into acting. I’ve been taking acting classes since seventh grade. Acting and music is where my heart is.

What will we be seeing in the future that will make us say, “Roca B” is so unique?

ROCA B: My unique way of singing will have goosebumps going up your arms. My tone will have you in tears.

(NEW HEAT) Breadman ft. Eddie Coke – “Dirty Money” (VIDEO)

Friday, December 1st, 2017

Houston Texas powerhouse artist Breadman recently linked with super crooner Eddie Coke to create “Dirty Money”, one of the hottest songs to hit the airwaves in some time. Filmed/directed/edited by the legendary Mr. Boomtown, the visuals to “Dirty Money” chronicle Breadman’s quest to launder his fast cash in the most epic of ways. The video is, of course, merely imaginative conceptualization, but entertaining nonetheless.

Assisted by Eddie Coke’s powerful voice, Breadman takes us through a “day in the life of” type of journey. In real life, Breadman is a well-known Houston, Texas based rapper, entrepreneur and label owner. “Dirty Money” picks up where his grind and hustle left off – it’s a tale of getting it out the mud and turning the hustle into legitimate businesses to ensure a strong and viable future for him – as well as his family. Breadman says, “I came up with Dirty Money one day, just sitting back thinking, “Man, I been hustling hard and putting it up like I’m supposed to; now I need to find a way to do legal business.” With respect to Eddie Coke’s talent and presence on “Dirty Money”, Breadman adds, “Eddie has a voice that can make everything come to life. On top of that, we work well together.”

And Breadman’s known for making a dollar out of fifteen cents. Whether it’s his Hood Kats Music Group (HKMG) imprint, his HKMG Studio where the magic is made or his other business endeavors, Breadman is making sure to live up to his stage name. He not only gets “bread” – he also makes sure his team eats, an area in which a lot of fellow entertainers are lacking. One conversation with him and you come to the realization that he’s not only a humble cat, but he’s smart and quick to draw up a plan that will help further his music career – and provide a solid future for his corporate ventures.

Breadman’s laid back style and effortless flow is well-complemented by Eddie Coke’s extraordinary voice on “Dirty Money”. It’s a perfect representation of a well thought out single and it’s proof that collaborations can be matches made in musical heaven. The visuals only lend to that. “Dirty Money” is a song that’s a must hear – and it’s available for download and streaming everywhere music is distributed. The video is one for the records books, as it’s affiliated with Mr. Boomtown, historically known for some of urban music’s hottest visuals.

This Is 50 covers Smoke Dogg 870

Tuesday, November 28th, 2017

Who: Smoke Dogg 870

Hailing from: Camden, Arkansas

Current Location: Shelbyville, Tennessee

Current Project: New single “I’m Leaning” (coming soon)

A little known fact is that Arkansas is a hotbed of untapped urban talent, particularly where independent music artists are concerned. Smoke Dogg 870 is not exception in that regard – in fact, he hails from the South Central part of Arkansas, one of the most beautiful parts of the state. His art only lends to the aesthetics of the landscape.
He currently resides in Shelbyville, Tennessee, less than an hour away from the music mecca known as Nashville. He is not only an artist in his own right, but also a label owner. ATM (“Already the Mob”) is the imprint. But the drive to become a stellar success is what pushes Smoke Dogg 870 to become a star. He cites his family, particularly his late mother, as his reason for his solid work ethic and determined spirit. In fact, he is certain he will become a rags to riches story in a very short period of time.
We caught up with Smoke Dogg 870 earlier today and here’s what he had to say:

Tell us about yourself.

SMOKE DOGG 870: I’m an independent artist who runs a label called “Already the Mob”(ATM) that I started from the ground up. I currently live in Shelbyville, Tennessee. I’ve been back and forward from here and Arkansas my entire life. I pride myself in my music because it’s based on my real life. I’ve been through a lot and things are finally looking up for me. My mom passed away a couple years ago and she has been my biggest inspiration to keep it pushing with my music career. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister who have been there for me since Day 1 – always encouraging me to keep it pushing. I’ve been making music over half my life. I released my first mixtape at the age of 14.

Tell us about your new single “I’m Leaning”:

SMOKE DOGG 870: It’s a party song that will have everyone vibing.

Arkansas is a hotbed of raw talent. How does being from there influence your style and art?

SMOKE DOGG 870: Being from Arkansas helped me find myself in the type of music I wanted to make. Being that I was in an area where Louisiana, Atlanta and Tennessee were right up the road, their music always came to me, so hearing all the different styles, lingo, etc. showed me that I could be myself and my people would embrace it. Being that I’m from a poverty stricken city and being able to make it out made me want to make a lot of inspirational music to give other people hope that it is possible.

What sets you apart from other artists?

SMOKE DOGG 870: I have been through a lot in my life and my music reflects that. I tell the story from the other side of the gun. You can hear the pain in my voice when you listen to me. I show my fans that not all artists talk about the “glamorous” side of life. I give my fans something they can relate to.

Where can we expect to see your career in 5 years?

SMOKE DOGG 870: I see myself on top of the game, making ways for other people to make it out the struggle and see a better side of life.

Do you have hopes of getting into any other avenue(s) of entertainment?

SMOKE DOGG 870: I really want to get into acting. I love putting on a show. I’ve always wanted to see myself in a movie or two.

Karlie Redd Rejects The Drama With New Single “Heartbreaker” Airing On Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Tonight

Tuesday, August 12th, 2014

unnamed

Karlie Redd rises above the drama of this season’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and sets the haters straight with the release of her new single “Heartbreaker” featuring Young Dro. As Love & Hip Hop Atlanta has shown Redd in her element working hard in the studio, viewers and fans will finally be able to hear Redd’s latest single during tonight’s episode.

“I’m excited for fans to finally hear my new music,” says Redd. “A lot of hard work has put into this music, so I’m ready for the world to hear it.

“Heartbreaker” was written by Sydne Renee and produced by Meco. Meco has worked with major artists such as Lil Wayne, Akon, August Alsina, Verse Simmonds, Cap 1, Musiq Soulchild and D Woods. His last hit was “Buy You A Round” by Verse Simmonds. The music deal was signed by Way Beyond and distributed by EMI.

In light of drama, rumors that Redd is homeless and dating Michael Blaxson are completely false. Because of the constant publicity swirl around Love & Hip Hop, Redd has simply chosen to keep this part of her life very private. She is, however, living very comfortably in a lovely home. Mr. Blaxson is merely a friend and business associate of Ms. Redd. They maintain a completely platonic and respectable relationship. Therefore, any speculation of truth behind these rumors is completely false.
