Meet INDOE, one of the hardest working young entertainers out

Monday, June 25th, 2018

From Hermosa Beach, California to Montclair, New Jersey – to points in the entertainment industry that most young entertainers would sell their souls for, INDOE has definitely touched down and is here to stay!

In fact, INDOE has accomplished feats that most seasoned entertainers have only been able to dream of – from performing background vocals on hits from MC Lyte and Big L (as a youngster we might add), to working with superstars such as Destiny’s Child, Wyclef Jean, Pink, and Kandi Burrus. But wait …. There’s more! INDOE has a role on 50 Cent’s POWER.

INDOE is working tirelessly to make a name for herself. And she’s doing just that. We caught up with her recently, and here’s what she had to say:

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Tell the readers a little about yourself.

INDOE: Well, I was raised between California and New Jersey. I have loved music my entire life and that’s what I have devoted my life to.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: If you could pick 3 people who influenced you and helped to shape you as a person, who would that be and how did they influence you?

INDOE: My mother, my father and God – all three of those energies have created who I am and I don’t feel right saying anyone else but those people.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What do you feel sets you apart from your counterparts?

INDOE: Well, I feel like everyone is different. Everyone has their own thing. So it’s not about what sets me apart; I feel like it’s more how are all the same. Everyone is putting forth their feelings. Everyone is putting forth their best foot in regards to what I do. I just think that I am honest and I say things that, you know, people can relate to and hopefully they like it.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What new projects are you currently working on?

INDOE: I’m finishing my album, getting ready to release a second single and I’m also currently on Power Season Five. I will be on Episode Four. I just finished shooting again for the upcoming season and I hope to be working some more.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What do you believe is the single most important piece of advice you can give a young entertainer who is just starting out?

INDOE: Don’t stop. Focus is everything. Do not get distracted. There be a lot of pretty boys and pretty girls – a lot of temptation – but the people that make it out are people keep their heads down into their work, to not let any distractions get in the way.

EDITOR’S NOTE: INDOE’s DLK Entertainment imprint currently has the single “Deep” out, available everywhere music is sold/streamed. INDOE is a rising star, if ever there were one! Follow INDOE and her team:

Teen Sensation, Alyssa Colòn wow Fans with her latest video, “I’m Gucci”

Alyssa Colón’s current single, “I’m Gucci” is a teenage girl’s perspective of being very confident with goals. Alyssa is serving bossiness on this track and is warning her peers that are hanging out – she has a totally different agenda in mind.

The hook ” I’m Gucci, I’m Bougie, and I can be a little snooty, Don’t test me, Don’t mess with me, but you will see a lot of press about me!” Here  I am making my mark, selling hits and I’m gonna to spark.” is very catchy.

Alyssa is definitely bound for stardom with this hit and will be serving more in the near future. We won’t be letting the cat out of the bag. You’re just going be in suspense until she drops another one with a very notable artist in the hip-hop game. Stay tuned for major things in the works of this talented singer.

2 former DEA agents charged with lying about ownership of NJ strip club

Wednesday, May 20th, 2015

Two former DEA agents are charged with lying on official forms about the New Jersey bar they ran.

(WABC) — Two former DEA agents are charged with lying on official forms about the New Jersey strip club they ran.

David Polos and Glen Glover surrendered to the FBI and will appear in federal court in Lower Manhattan Wednesday.

They both worked for the DEA in Manhattan, and operated the Twins Go-Go Lounge in South Hackensack.

But they allegedly lied to federal authorities when questioned and were charged with fraud.

Glover was co-owner of the club and Polos possessed a convertible ownership interest.

Both men knew the club employed workers who were not U.S. citizens, but did not disclose that to their bosses, authorities say.

According to the charges, Polos also used his DEA status to facilitate club operations, including flashing his service weapon during disputes.

Had Polos and Glover revealed their ownership and ongoing employment in the club, it would have prompted a federal investigation and their DEA security clearance would have likely been denied.

Polos was an assistant special agent-in-charge from 1991 to until last month, when he retired. He supervised the New York Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Strike Force.

Glover is a telecommunications specialist at the DEA and was placed on modified duty.

They each face a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison if convicted of giving false statements on their national security clearance forms.

Man’s Claim That Rapper DMX Robbed Him Outside New Jersey Gas Station

Monday, April 6th, 2015

A man claimed one of the biggest rappers of the late-1990s grabbed thousands of dollars right out of his hand at a New Jersey gas station Easter Sunday.
A 21-year-old man told Newark Police that the incident began as a conversation between himself, DMX and the rapper’s entourage outside an Exxon gas station along the 600 block of McCarter Highway (Route 21) around 12:30 a.m.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, and the man began to talk about rap music, said police. During that conversation a member of DMX’s entourage pulled out a gun and demanded the victim turn over his money, according to police.

The victim took about $3,200 out of his pocket. The victim told police that DMX — who hails from Yonkers, New York — then grabbed the money out of his hand and got into one of four black Escalades driven by members of DMX’s crew.

R&B Singer Arrested At Airport

Monday, December 15th, 2014

(CNN) — Once your airplane’s flight crew has shut the cabin doors in preparation for departure, don’t open the door for a late-arriving boss.

Not even if that employer is “Birthday Sex” singer Jeremih, aka Jeremy Felton.

R&B artist Felton and musician Adam Woods arrived too late to the gate at Newark Liberty International Airport for U.S. Airways Flight 653 to Phoenix on Friday afternoon, an incident that was first reported at
The aircraft doors were closed.

Instead of getting booked on the next flight, Felton called his bouncer, Dontate Cunningham, who was already on the flight, to let Felton and Woods board.

“One of the members who had already properly proceeded through the now closed secondary jetway door opened the jetway door in an effort to unofficially allow his fellow members entrance onto the aircraft,” confirmed Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Joe Pentangelo, via email. The Port Authority operates the airport.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg Donating $25 Million To Fight Ebola

Tuesday, October 14th, 2014

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, are giving $25 million to the CDC Foundation to help fight the Ebola epidemic.

In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg said the viral outbreak is “at a critical turning point.”

“It has infected 8,400 people so far, but it is spreading very quickly and projections suggest it could infect 1 million people or more over the next several months if not addressed,” he wrote. “We need to get Ebola under control in the near term so that it doesn’t spread further and become a long-term global health crisis that we end up fighting for decades at large scale, like HIV or polio.

“We believe our grant is the quickest way to empower the CDC and the experts in this field to prevent this outcome,” he continued. “Grants like this directly help the front-line responders in their heroic work. These people are on the ground setting up care centers, training local staff, identifying Ebola cases and much more.”

The donation will go to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Ebola response effort in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone and in other spots in the world where Ebola is a threat, the foundation said Tuesday.

Zuckerberg and Chan are making the grant from their fund at the non-profit Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

In 2013, Zuckerberg and Chan set a record for charitable donations by giving Facebook shares worth nearly $1 billion to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

A year earlier, he and Chan gave the same number of shares, then worth about $500 million, to the foundation.

Zuckerberg has a net worth of about $29.7 billion. He has pledged to donate at least half his wealth to philanthropic causes.

In 2013 he was the largest donor to charity.

But his is not the largest donation from a tech titan to fight Ebola. Last month, Bill Gates’s foundation pledged $50 million to fight the epidemic in West Africa.

Zuckerberg and Chan recently gave $120 million to Bay Area schools. In 2010, Zuckerberg donated $100 million to New Jersey schools.

Chan, a graduate from UCSF medical school, is currently a pediatric resident.
